McFarlane Toys 1000 Comics Superman & Batman thoughts

Hello, DC fans!

In this article I am going to be sharing my thoughts on the 1000 Comics Superman & Batman by McFarlane Toys.

As last year McFarlane got the rights to make DC action figures as before it was Mattel who made them.

Thoughts on Superman

This is my 2nd McFarlane Toys Superman as I’ve already got the Animated Series Superman.

After removing him from the packaging and posing him around I actually prefer this version more than the animated release.

The flight stand that was added with this one really gives you the option of having him in a flight pose.

While the elbows are single jointed that may put some people off from purchasing him but it’s better than no elbow joint.

Thoughts on Batman

When I got the Animated Series Superman I also got Batman as well so like Superman this is my 2nd McFarlane Batman.

I did really like that Batman as well from McFarlane but this one like the Superman are my favourites in this line so far.

If you were wondering does Batman have single jointed elbows the answer is no as they are double jointed.

While the cape does limit some of the shoulder articulation it’s not an issue that will limit your enjoyment with Batman.

Accessories Batman has and interchangeable hands for Superman

Batman is included with a grapple gun and a batarang so no alternate hands sadly if you were wondering.

The cable firing out of the gun is not removable as it’s all one piece so it doesn’t come apart.

As for the batarang while it does appear quite big in the hand it’s not really an issue that will limit any enjoyment.

Superman comes with two flat hands, one left fisted and a right gun holding hand.

The two flat hands are a nice touch for flight poses even though they’re not the open palm hands we are used to seeing.

While two fisted hands would’ve been better as the right gun gun holding hand is a bit strange as Superman doesn’t uses guns from any comic books or movies I have read or watched.

Do I recommend you purchase these for your collection?

If you are a fan of Batman and Superman then yes I recommend you purchase them both for your collection.

For those of you who are more into the movies than the comic books then these won’t really appeal to you.

As they are not based on the movies they are based of the 1000 comics that were released.

Do you own the 1000 Comics Batman and Superman in your collection? If so what did you think of them?

As you can find them at online retailers like Amazon and eBay.

Let me know down in the comments below as I would be curious to hear your thoughts.

I’ve never been a big fan of comic books, but I do love Batman and Superman. I wish the latest movie Batman verses Superman was better, but maybe they will do better in the future.

I have a friend at work who loves collection these types of things though, so I will be sure to tell him about your site.

What other dc heroes have you collected ?

      Thank you for your comment.

I love Batman and Superman as well as they are both two Iconic DC Superheroes.

The movie wasn’t very good and like yourself I wish it was better.

I hope your friend really enjoys my website about these collectibles.

I’m currently collecting the other McFarlane Toys DC heroes.

      Best wishes,

Hello there! Absolutely love this figure! The articulation is superb and even with a rubber cape he can be posed and balanced well. The paint is on point and the proportions, although not to real life scale, look appropriate. I have taken several photos with this figure and it comes out looking stunning.

Comes with an extra set of hands and a stand. I’ll probably try to replace the cape with one made out of fabric. Otherwise I have no other complaints.

      Thank you for your comment.

I love this McFarlane Superman as well.

The extra hands and flight stand are a nice feature.

Replacing the cape with one made out of fabric sounds interesting so good luck.

      Best wishes,
