Hello, Marvel Cinematic Universe fans and Marvel Legends collectors!
As we are still waiting on the Black Widow movie to be released as it was delayed due to the pandemic.
The Hasbro Marvel Legends wave is currently out at retailers like Amazon and eBay.
So I will be sharing my thoughts on if these are worth getting to keep you excited for the movie.
I’ll start off with Black Widow first as she is the main character in her movie.
We have received many MCU Black Widows from Hasbro and all of them have been pretty good.
This one is my favourite along with the Mandroid wave version as both of them really resemble Scarlett Johansson.
As for alternate hands we have two fists and two gribbing hands that are for the guns or batons.
The pistols can go in both holsters so no frustrations with molded in guns that a lot of collectors like myself don’t like.
While articulation like single jointed elbows and double jointed knees are the same it is what you’d expect from Hasbro.
Next up we have Yelena Belova who Florence Pugh portrays in the movie.
While we don’t know a whole lot about the MCU version of Yelena compared to the comic books.
As for accessories we have similar to Black Widow two gripping and fisted hands.
There are no batons included with Yelena only two pistols as I don’t think she uses that kind of weapon.
Unlike Black Widow where you can store both pistols in the holsters on Yelena you only have one on the right side.
If you were hopeful for double jointed elbows with Yelena sadly like Black Widow it is single jointed.
The knees are double jointed as well so you can have both of them in running poses if you want to.
After Yelena we have Red Guardian who David Harbour will be portraying.
We don’t know a whole lot about this character at this point but when the movie is released it’ll be interesting to know more.
While it is a shame that they didn’t include a masked alternate head as seen in the trailer that may come later.
The unmasked head sculpt does somewhat resemble the actor but not quite as his beard and hair don’t match very well.
As for accessories you only have his shield that you can clip onto his wrist or peg into his back.
It is the same mechanism that is used with the Hasbro Captain America.
Last we have Taskmaster and at this point in time we don’t know who will be playing this character.
As for alternate hands we have two clawing, gripping and fisted that you can interchange anytime you want.
In terms of weapons we have a shield, sword, bow and arrow so good choice of weapons to have him hold.
While there is no unmasked head that is more than likely because the movie isn’t out yet and Hasbro don’t want to spoil anything.
Since Taskmaster does seem to be the more popular of the four of them I recommend getting your hands on him as soon as you see him.
As if you wanted to he could work in a comic based display as well so that may be a reason why he tends to sell out very quickly.
Are these worth getting if you are excited about the Black Widow movie?
I’d say if you are a Marvel Legends collector of the MCU characters then yes I highly recommend you get these four.
If your a fan of comic based characters then these four aren’t for you as they are not from the comic books.
While these are released as part of the Crimson Dynamo Build-A-Figure wave there are three comic based characters as well.
Since I am really excited for the Black Widow movie when it does get released I had a lot of enjoyment with these four.
Are you going to be purchasing these four for your Marvel Cinematic Universe collection or are you going to pass?
Let me know in the comments below as I would like to hear your thoughts.
